India telecoms gross revenue up 4% to Rs 64,996 crore in Sept quarter

Indian telecom operators’ gross revenue rose 4.08 percent year on year in the September quarter of 2015 to Rs 64,996 crore, according to TRAI.

The gross revenue of Indian telecoms fell 0.05 percent on quarterly basis, said TRAI.

The average gross revenue of telecom operators grew 7 percent year on year and fell 1.86 percent quarter on quarter to Rs 46,257 crore.

Access services contributed 81.90 percent of the total adjusted gross revenue of telecom services. In access services, Gross Revenue fell 1.36 percent, adjusted gross revenue dipped 1.80 percent, license fee dropped 1.74 percent and spectrum usage charges declined 1.99 percent. Pass through charges increased 0.18 percent.

Telecom Financial Data TRAI for Sept 2015Monthly average revenue per user (ARPU) for access services based on AGR declined to Rs 124.68 in September 2015 from Rs 128.45 in June 2015.
