Global semiconductor sales reached $57.8 billion in November 2024, marking a 20.7% increase from November 2023 and a 1.6% rise from October 2024.
This represents the highest-ever monthly sales total, with month-to-month sales increasing for the eighth consecutive month.
The Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA), which represents 99% of U.S. semiconductor revenue and two-thirds of non-U.S. chip firms, attributes the growth to a significant 54.9% year-to-year sales increase in the Americas.
Other regions, including China (12.1%), Asia Pacific/All Other (10.0%), and Japan (7.4%), also saw year-to-year growth, while Europe experienced a decline of 5.7%.
Month-to-month sales rose in the Americas (4.4%) and Asia Pacific/All Other (1.5%) but fell slightly in China (-0.1%), Europe (-0.7%), and Japan (-0.8%).
