AT&T Signals Strong Cash Flow and Shareholder Returns at Key Tech Conference

AT&T reaffirmed its 2026 and multi-year guidance, including expectations for stronger adjusted EBITDA, earnings-per-share growth, and higher free cash flow through 2028. The telecom giant also reiterated plans to return more than $45 billion to shareholders via dividends and share buybacks between 2026 and 2028. AT&T further projected improved wireless revenue growth and second-quarter free cash flow of $4 billion to $4.5 billion.

Metanoia Communications unveiled its AI-powered 5G Open SDR platform at Wireless Japan 2026, introducing advanced Open RAN radio solutions based on its MT2824 5G SoC and MOSART open-source SDR platform. The company said the software-defined architecture is designed to accelerate AI-RAN adoption by allowing operators and ODMs to integrate AI workloads, improve energy efficiency, and extend hardware lifespan through software upgrades instead of costly equipment replacement. The platform supports O-RAN Alliance WG7 “white-box” architecture and includes FR1 and FR2 radio capabilities for flexible network deployments. Metanoia positioned the launch as a major step toward scalable, intelligent, and cost-efficient next-generation wireless infrastructure for global telecom operators and enterprise networks.

FICER Powers the AI Network Boom with Next-Gen Optical Innovations at Interop Tokyo 2026

Taiwan-based FICER Technology showcased its latest fiber-optic and DWDM networking technologies at Interop Tokyo 2026, highlighting solutions designed for AI infrastructure, cloud data centers, and next-generation telecom networks. The company introduced its modular F520 OTN DWDM platform, aimed at helping ISPs and system integrators expand bandwidth without major hardware replacements. FICER also presented 800G and 400G optical transceivers, Digital Coherent Optics modules, and pluggable EDFA/OTDR solutions that improve network monitoring and reduce maintenance complexity. In addition, its XGS-PON and 25G-PON technologies target converged 5G/6G connectivity and smarter metro networks, positioning the company as a growing supplier for scalable AI-driven communication infrastructure.
