TeliaSonera announced its $10 million deal with Landis+Gyr to supply telecom to almost 100 offices around the world.
Utilizing TeliaSonera´s IP network, the Swiss headquartered energy company with operations in 30 countries will consolidate its current multi-vendor network service environment.
As per the five-year contract, TeliaSonera will provide a managed network services, cloud based Internet, security, application performance monitoring, expert and consulting services to better capacity, prioritization, availability and service quality.
TeliaSonera said the managed network services will provide Landis+Gyr with scalable and secure access to IT infrastructure globally ensuring effective response to business demands.
Landis+Gyr has used TeliaSonera’s telecommunications services in Northern Europe for over three years. During this time, Landis+Gyr has been impressed by TeliaSonera’s ability to provide reliable service in terms of network service availability and proactive fault management.

The services will be built over TeliaSonera’s 61,000 km international fiber network which reaches 200 points of presence in 35 countries and is ranked, by Internet intelligence authority Renesys, as one of the top two global IP backbones.
