Ericsson in Policy and Charging solution deal with Taiwan Mobile

Ericsson announced its deal with Taiwan Mobile to supply integrated Policy and Charging solution for its post-paid LTE subscribers.

The telecom network vendor did not share financial details.

Taiwan Mobile will deploy Ericsson’s Charging System and Service-Aware Policy Controller to offer its subscribers the ability to control their costs while getting increased value for their money by availing them of flexible packaging, bonuses and discounts. This will increase the ability of Taiwan Mobile to tailor and market its services.

In addition, Taiwan Mobile will have better opportunity to increase revenues by offering personalized services while optimizing the use of network resources.

Taiwan Mobile consumers will have more choice to select data services and smartphone packages and will benefit from enhanced user experience, said Ericsson.

CH Jih, CTO of Taiwan Mobile, said: “As data traffic increases in Taiwan, we want to offer our customers greater flexibility, freedom and control over their data usage, and the implementation of this solution will help achieve that goal.”
