AT&T Fiber is the fastest Internet provider in the US: Ookla

Ookla’s Speedtest Intelligence data has indicated that AT&T Fiber is the fastest Internet Service Provider in the United States during July-December 2024.

Customers of AT&T Fiber have experienced download speed of 357.45 Mbps, surpassing Spectrum at 294.33 Mbps and Cox at 277.71 Mbps.

Additionally, AT&T Fiber has dominated in upload speed with 286.93 Mbps and achieved a latency of 19 ms. Demonstrating exceptional performance, AT&T Fiber also recorded the highest network consistency in the United States, with 95.3 percent of its samples meeting or exceeding the threshold of 25 Mbps download and 3 Mbps upload throughput.

In terms of overall user experience, Verizon has secured an Overall Connectivity Score of 81.00, followed by AT&T Internet, Cox, XFINITY, and Spectrum. This score reflects a combination of Speed Score, web browsing performance, and Video Streaming Score.

The Speedtest Video Streaming Score, which evaluates video start time, uninterrupted playback, and delivered resolution, showed strong performance across the top providers, with Verizon achieving 79.56 and others scoring between 76 and 79.

For gaming, Speedtest Game Score measured latency, jitter, and download and upload speeds. Four of the top five ISPs in the United States delivered Game Score values above 90, with Verizon leading at 93.47, followed by AT&T Internet, XFINITY, Cox, and Spectrum.

AT&T Fiber received the highest customer rating among ISPs during this period, scoring 3.74 out of 5, solidifying its position as the top-rated ISP in the United States.
