Video interview: Kathrein focuses on India and APAC telecom markets

Ahead of the developments around 5G in India, Kathrein, a German communications technology company, has announced the opening of its Asia Pacific hub of technical expertise in Bengaluru, India.

With its new center, Kathrein will focus on developing and successfully testing next generation technologies around 5G. Currently the company owns around 320 patents in 5G technologies and operates one of the world’s first 4.5/5G testbeds in Rosenheim for field tests as well as highly complex computer simulations.

Here’s an exclusive interaction with Anton Kathrein, CEO; Juergen Walter, executive vice president, Head of Solutions Business Unit, Kathrein Group; and Ashwini Bakshi, managing director, Region APAC & India, to get an overall perspective of the broadband and telecom solutions, as well as Kathrein’s expansion in India and APAC market.
