A recent IDC report said the global server revenue increased 43.7 percent to $22.5 billion in the second quarter of 2018, while server shipment grew 20.5 percent to 2.9 million units.
Dell (18.8 percent share), HPE (16.6 percent), IBM (7.3 percent), Lenovo (6.9 percent), Inspur (4.8 percent), Cisco (4.8 percent), Huawei (4.3 percent) and ODM Direct suppliers (24.4 percent) are the top server suppliers based on their Q2 revenue.
Dell has replaced HPE to lead the global server market. Dell increased its server market share to 18.8 percent from 17.7 percent. HPE lost its server market share to 16.6 percent from 21.4 percent.
