Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has released the latest market share of top broadband operators in India during May 2017.
TRAI said the number of broadband subscribers increased to 291.61 million — 18.23 million wired subscribers, 0.53 million fixed wireless and 272.85 million wireless subscribers – in May 2017 with a monthly growth rate of 2.60 percent from 284.23 million in April 2017.
Reliance Jio with 117.34 million, Bharti Airtel with 53.3 million, Vodafone India with 40.43 million, Idea Cellular with 24.63 million and BSNL with 21.59 million are the top broadband operators in India in May 2017.
The top five wireless broadband service providers are Reliance Jio Infocomm with 117.34 million, Bharti Airtel with 51.21 million, Vodafone with 40.42 million, Idea Cellular with 24.63 million and Reliance Communications with 14.46 million broadband subscribers.
The top five wired broadband service providers are BSNL with 9.8 million, Bharti Airtel with 2.09 million, Atria Convergence Technologies with 1.2 million, MTNL with 0.99 million and YOU Broadband with 0.64 million subscribers.
