Sunil Mittal’s Indian Continent Investment to Sell 0.8 percent Stake in Bharti Airtel for ₹9,300 Cr
Indian Continent Investment (ICIL), led by Sunil Mittal, plans to sell a 0.8 percent stake in Bharti Airtel for ₹9,300 crore through a block deal. The deal involves selling 5 crore shares at ₹1,862 each, a 3 percent discount to Airtel’s closing price of ₹1,922.60. After the sale, ICIL’s stake will reduce from 2.47 percent to 1.67 percent. The promoter group’s total holding in Airtel remains above 51 percent. The funds raised from this transaction will be used by ICIL to acquire a 49 percent stake in Haier India, in partnership with Warburg Pincus, Economic Times reports.
