The latest TRAI report indicates the number of mobile phone subscribers on the telecom network of Bharti Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone Idea and Reliance Jio in 2019.
Reliance Jio has increased its mobile subscriber base to 370.016 million in December 2019 from 369.933 million in November 2019.
Vodafone Idea has lost substantial number of mobile phone customers on its network to 332.612 million from 336.257 million.
Airtel India’s mobile subscriber base reached 327.297 million from 327.308 million.
BSNL’s mobile phone customer base increased to 118.025 million in December 2019 from 117.598 million in November 2019.
India’s wireless subscriber base declined from 1,154.59 million in November to 1,151.44 million in December, registering a monthly decline of 0.27 percent.
Mobile phone subscription in urban areas declined 0.52 percent from 647.33 million in November 19 to 643.97 million in December.
Mobile phone subscription in rural areas increased 0.04 percent from 507.26 million in November to 507.46 million in December.
The broadband subscriber base increased 0.10 percent from 661.27 million in November to 661.94 million in December.
Reliance Jio Infocomm with 370.87 million, Bharti Airtel with 140.40 million, Vodafone Idea with 118.45 million, BSNL with 23.96 million and Atria Convergence with 1.52 million customers are the top five broadband operators.
The top five wired broadband operators are BSNL with 8.39 million, Bharti Airtel with 2.42 million, Atria Convergence Technologies with 1.52 million, Hathway Cable with 0.90 million and Reliance Jio with 0.86 million customers.
Top five wireless broadband operators are Reliance Jio Infocom with 370.02 million, Bharti Airtel with 137.98 million, Vodafone Idea with 118.43 million, BSNL with 15.56 million and MTNL with 0.20 million customers.
