Govt spending on telecom services to drop 3% to $67 bn

Worldwide government spending for telecom services is forecast to drop at 3 percent to $67 billion in 2022, according to a research report from Gartner.
Government spending on telecom services in 2022Government IT departments will be spending $26.13 billion (+4.2 percent) in data centers, $37.82 billion (+0.9 percent) in devices, $68.18 billion (–0.1 percent) in internal services, $204.20 billion (+6.5 percent), $162.27 billion (+10.4 percent) in software and $67.10 billion (–3 percent) in telecom services during 2022.

Government IT spending will be $26.64 billion (+1.9 percent) in data centers, $37.38 billion (–1.1 percent) in devices, $70.76 billion (–3.8 percent) in internal services, $220.99 billion (+8.2 percent), $183.01 billion (+12.8 percent) in software and $67.19 billion (+0.1 percent) in telecom services during 2023.
