Indian telecom regulator TRAI has released the latest market share chart for broadband – fixed and wireless — segment.
The number of broadband subscribers increased 2.91 percent from 419.79 million in April 2018 to 432 million in May 2018. India has 17.94 million (–0.16 percent) wired broadband customers and 413.65 million (+3.05 percent) wireless broadband users.
The top five wired broadband service providers are BSNL with 9.19 million, Bharti Airtel with 2.20 million, Atria Convergence with 1.32 million, MTNL with 0.85 million and Hathway Cable with 0.79 million customers.
The top five wireless broadband service providers are Reliance Jio Infocomm with 205.54 million, Bharti Airtel with 89.40 million, Vodafone with 61.42 million, Idea Cellular with 42.07 million and BSNL with 11.56 million subscribers, TRAI said.
