Vodafone India today said it made an investment of Rs 750 crore to build its advanced telecom network to offer SuperNet experience in Karnataka.
The telecom network operator says the SuperNet experience is available to more than 72 lakh customers in Karnataka. Vodafone’s SuperNet ensures better voice and data quality to its mobile customers.
Vodafone has invested in 6,200 telecom sites to upgrade the network to offer SuperNet experience in Karnataka. The company has added 730 kms of fiber backhaul to reach the total capacity of fiber to 11,456 km in Karnataka.
This apart, Vodafone has added more than 2,000 cell sites across Karnataka to launch 4G network in Bengaluru and Mysuru.
Vodafone has also made investment in its own 3G network which is available across 20 cities viz in Bengaluru, Tumkur, Chikmagalur, Hassan, Mangalore, Sirsi, Mysuru, Madikeri, Hubli-Dharwad, Belgaum, Gadag, Bagalkot, Gulbarga, Raichur, Bidar, Bijapur, Davangere, Chitradurga, Bellary, Shimoga in Karnataka.
Vodafone SuperNet 4G is available on 1800 Mhz spectrum band across Bangalore covering all prominent locations, and Mysuru. The company made investment in backhaul for offering better 3G services on its own network.
