TiVo lands deal from cable operator izzi Telecom

TiVo Corporation recently announced its deal with izzi Telecom, a cable operator in Mexico, for interactive program guides (IPG) and entertainment metadata for their izzi Telecom video service.

izzi Telecom will deploy TiVo’s Passport Guide for set-top boxes to its operations in Mexico City and Monterrey, and add TiVo Video metadata.

izzi Telecom subscribers will benefit from a HD program guide and enhanced features that make it easier for subscribers to find and watch TV content, Karl Misling, vice president, Latin America and Caribbean, TiVo, said.

Guillermo Salcedo, corporate product director at izzi Telecom, said: “TiVo’s technology platform offers better user experience with advanced features plus high-quality and accurate entertainment metadata.”
