The decision was made by the Board of Directors, led by private equity firm Seven2. Hamilton will succeed Jose Duarte, the current CEO, who will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.

Jose Duarte, who has guided Infovista since 2019, overseeing substantial transformation and growth, will relinquish the CEO position to fulfill a new role aligned with his professional aspirations and the evolving needs of the business.

During Duarte’s tenure, Infovista witnessed strategic shifts towards network automation, including significant acquisitions and divestitures. His leadership spearheaded the acquisition and integration of Empirix while strategically selling the Ipanema SD-WAN business.

Rick Hamilton, currently serving as Deputy CEO since May 2023, brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He has a strong background in the telecoms industry, having held pivotal positions at BluePlanet (a division of Ciena), Juniper Networks, and Cisco Systems. Hamilton’s deep-rooted understanding of technology, operations, and finance within the telecoms value chain will be instrumental in propelling Infovista’s growth.

Rick Hamilton holds a bachelor’s degree in information systems from the University of Phoenix and a master’s degree in software engineering from Golden Gate University. His prior experiences in leadership positions at prominent technology firms equip him to steer Infovista towards continued success.
