JioAirFiber Services Go Live in 8 Metro Cities

Jio, the world’s largest private mobile data network, has made a groundbreaking announcement with the launch of JioAirFiber services.

This marks a significant leap in providing an integrated end-to-end solution for home entertainment, smart home services, and high-speed broadband across eight major metro cities.

JioAirFiber goes live in 8 cities – Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.

Jio’s optical fiber infrastructure, spanning an impressive 1.5 million kilometers across India, has positioned the company in close proximity to over 200 million premises. However, the challenge of extending physical last-mile connectivity to all regions in the country often results in delays, leaving millions of potential customers without home broadband access.

In response to this challenge, JioAirFiber has been introduced to expedite connectivity to premises and bridge the digital divide.

The above chart indicates that price of JioAirFiber plans in India. Price of JioAirFiber starts at Rs 599 for 30 Mbps and Rs 899 for 100 Mbps. Price of JioAirFiber Max plans starts at Rs 1499 for 300 Mbps, Rs 2499 for 500 Mbps and Rs 3999 for 1000 Mbps in key cities.

During the launch event of JioAirFiber, Akash Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, emphasized the need for accelerated connectivity across India. He stated, “Our extensive fiber-to-the-home service, JioFiber, is already benefiting over 10 million customers, with hundreds of thousands more getting connected each month. However, there are still millions of homes and small businesses waiting to be connected swiftly.”

With the introduction of JioAirFiber, Jio is broadening its addressable market to rapidly cover every home in the country with a similar quality of service.
