Infosys’ revenue from telecom vertical dips to 9.6 percent in Q3 2012-13 from 9.8 percent

Telecom Lead Asia: Infosys’ Q3 2012-13 revenue from telecom vertical decreased to 9.6 percent of total income from 9.8 percent in the same quarter previous fiscal.

Infosys on Friday said its Q3 revenues grew 5.7 percent to Rs 10,424 crore quarter on quarter.

Year-on-year growth was 12.1 percent.

Infosys’s net profit after tax was Rs 2,369 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012, which remained unchanged compared to the quarter ended September 30, 2012.

“We have done well in this quarter despite an uncertain environment. We continue to gain confidence from a strong pipeline of large deals. However, the broader economic environment remains difficult. Even so, we remain cautiously optimistic about the January-March quarter”, said SD Shibulal, CEO and managing director.

Infosys Q3 income based on Geographies

Income from North America grew by 1.6 percent sequentially.
Revenue from Europe grew by 16.6 percent sequentially.
India income increased by 44.7 percent sequentially.
Rest of the world grew by 7.4 percent.
