MTN Nigeria and Huawei’s FDD Tri-Band Massive MIMO Deployment

MTN Nigeria, in collaboration with Huawei, has completed the first commercial FDD tri-band Massive MIMO deployment. By combining the 1.8 GHz, 2.1 GHz, and 2.6 GHz bands, the solution has resulted in a 90 percent increase in LTE traffic and a remarkable 252 percent rise in user-perceived data rates during peak hours.
