Huawei to raise local staff by 50% in South Africa in 5 years

Telecom network vendor Huawei said it will increase local staff by 50 percent in South Africa in the next five years.

Huawei, which has done business in South Africa for over 15 years, has 1,028 employees in the country with more than 60 percent local resources.

“We will be working hard to implement a South African National Broadband and National Data Center and continue to foster ICT talents in South Africa,” said Huawei Senior Vice President Dafeng Li.
