Dialogic selected by SIPxchange to offer carrier-grade VoIP services

Telecom Lead America: SIPxchange, a provider of VoIP
termination and origination services, has selected Dialogic as its core
technology provider.

As per the agreement, the Dialogic ControlSwitch System
and media gateway solutions provide SIPxchange with routing capabilities, while
supporting both TDM and IP traffic.

The selection of the Dialogic solution assists SIPxchange
to cost-effectively support its expanding DID origination, toll-free and VoIP
termination network that provides ubiquitous local access transport area (LATA)
coverage in the key markets of Texas.

SIPxchange selected Dialogic for its strong leadership
position in class 4 switching, support for SS7, its carrier-grade Dialogic
I-Gate 4000 PRO Media Gateway, and an array of Codecs and Protocols, including
SIP, MGCP, H.323, T.38, G.711, G.729, G.723, GSM.

As VoIP becomes the emerging choice for business among
carriers within the U.S. SIPxchange needed a solution that would allow for
cost-effective direct interconnection to the Legacy PSTN Tandems. Dialogic’s
ControlSwitch System, with its distributed media gateway architecture, provides
reliability and scalability for interconnection to the PSTN.

By utilizing Dialogic’s technology via SIPxchange,
Simtaq, a customer of SIPxchange, is able to offer its customers a full suite
of advanced features with SIPxchange’s voice through its directly
interconnected gateways from Dialogic.

“At SIPxchange, our customers always come first and
we pride ourselves on the fact that we develop our services using the best and
most reliable enabling technology in the market,” said Shane Hanes, CEO of
SIPxchange.

SIPxchange was able to reduce its number of servers from
17 to four, thereby further reducing its capital and operational expenditures
and moving toward a more eco-friendly business model.

“Dialogic is proud to provide innovative
technologies that enable our customers to build advanced communications
services with our continued goal of the best possible user experience, over any
network,” said Rob Martinez, vice president of sales, North America at
Dialogic.
