Telecom Lead Team: Telit Wireless Solutions, a
provider of Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communications, entered into a global
strategic partnership with Telefonica to offer bundle offers to
Small-to-Medium M2M Providers.
The bundle offer will include premium value-added
services, customer support, module innovation and global connectivity
previously reserved for larger firms.
M2M companies will now be able to gain access toTelefonica ‘s highly reliable global wireless network dedicated M2M core network
elements, and best-in-class wireless platform.
This unprecedented bundle from Telit and Telefonica signals
a paradigm shift in the industry because finally any M2M service or solution
provider of any size can have the same quality of service, performance, pricing
and support as the largest players in the industry,” said Oozi Cats, CEO of
Telit.
Through the partnership, Telit brings module hardware and
software technology, broad M2M application expertise, and global customer
support based on a newly introduced portfolio of value-added services.

proposition combined with Telit’s leading market position and solution
portfolio will provide a unique approach to M2M providers and customers
worldwide and create a genuine competitive advantage in their marketplace,”

The new service will initially launch in EMEA (Europe,
Middle East and Africa), South America and selected countries by Q3 2012.
In addition, Telit Wireless announced Jupiter SL869,
a new dual GPS/GLONASS module that improves navigation performance by providing
access to both the Russian GLONASS global navigation satellite system and U.S.
GPS.
Jupiter SL869 provides three times the usual
satellite visibility by accessing to up to 22 satellites compared to the six or
eight satellites normally available through standard GPS.
The new module provides optimum performance for any
navigation application, from personal and asset tracking to automotive
solutions.

Telit umbrella, Telit Location Solutions has released a leading-edge navigation
module that’s destined to have a major impact on the GPS industry,” said Oozi
Cats, CEO of Telit.
Last month, Telit Wireless Solutions acquired Navman Wireless OEM Solutions, a designer and
manufacturer of Global Positioning System (GPS) modules and solutions, for $3
million in cash.
Navman Wireless OEM, now known as Telit Location
Solutions has more than 20 years of experience serving the GPS market and has
sold millions of its high-performance Jupiter GPS modules worldwide.
