Telecom Lead America: ShoreTel, a provider of
cloud-based business phone system and communication solutions with fully
integrated unified communications (UC), has named David Petts as senior
vice president of worldwide sales of the company.
Petts will be reporting directly to ShoreTel CEO, Peter
Blackmore. In this role, Petts will work toward strengthening the ShoreTel
sales organization and reinforce the drive for growth.
David’s tremendous success in global sales simply
reinforces our sales and customer momentum. He has extensive knowledge of sale
leadership and brings with him a wealth of experience in general management
plus U.S. and international executive sales,” said Peter Blackmore, ShoreTel
president and CEO.
Prior to ShoreTel, Petts served Nokia, where he spent
seven years in sales leadership roles. At Nokia, Petts was leading global
sales, marketing and services of security and mobility solutions for business
customers as well as the global relationship with AT&T.
ShoreTel has recently restructured its sales leadership,
which includes Joe Vitalone in channel management, Tim Gaines for North America
sales, and Mark Arman who leads international sales and worldwide distribution.
ShoreTel completes acquisition of M5 Networks
In March this year, ShoreTel completed its acquisition of
M5 Networks. ShoreTel now able to offer both on-premise and hosted VoIP
and UC solutions.
The acquisition enables ShoreTel to attract new
customers, open new channels, and increase revenue streams at a time when
companies are increasingly considering cloud-based services
