ZTE selects Red Bend solutions for more platforms

Telecom Lead Asia: Telecom equipment maker ZTE has
extended association with Red Bend Software with the adoption of Red
Bend’s vRapid Mobile firmware over-the-air (FOTA) updating software
and vDirect Mobile device management software for more new
platforms.

ZTE has selected Red Bend solutions for to ZTE mobile
devices based on Linux and Android using platforms from Spreadtrum and MTK.

 

In the rapidly changing telecommunications industry,
device manufacturers such as ZTE are able to stay competitive by providing a
compelling user experience, innovative devices and seamless services. By making
the mobile user experience continuously better using Red Bend’s market-leading
software, ZTE is increasing consumer satisfaction and strengthening its brand
loyalty,” said Danny Wang, country manager of Greater China for Red Bend
Software.

 

ZTE has embedded more than 30 ZTE mobile phones and
connected devices with Red Bend’s software.

 

ZTE’s association with Red Bend was started in 2007.
Since then, ZTE has been using Red Bend’s standard-based solutions for firmware
updating and device management in its mobile phones, PC modems and home
gateway modems for WiMAX networks.

 

Supporting OMA DM standards, Red Bend Software is a
provider of Mobile Software Management (MSM) with more than 1.5
billion Red Bend-Enabled devices.

 

Panasonic selects Red Bend Mobile Software for Toughpad tablets

 

In February this year, Panasonic announced that its
customers of Toughpad tablets will get Red Bend Software’s Mobile Software
Management (MSM) solution.

 

 The offering will allow its enterprise customers to
manage their Toughpad devices over the air.
