Polycom expands presence with new office in Istanbul, Turkey


Polycom opened a new office in Istanbul, Turkey. The
office, the latest in a number of strategic investments that Polycom is making
across EMEA region is evidence of its growing commitment to the region.


In Q3 2011, Polycom grew revenue 23 percent
year-over-year in EMEA, which includes markets such as Turkey and the Middle
East.


The facility will help Polycom continue to innovate and
deliver HD video and Polycom HD Voice collaboration solutions based on the Polycom
RealPresence Platform.


The announcement marks an important step for Polycom in
providing key partners and distributors with the highest level of support,
services, and expertise on innovations such as Polycom RealPresence Mobile,
which extends Polycom’s HD video collaboration technology.


Turkish distributors and resellers of Polycom products
will benefit from the knowledge of local UC and video collaboration experts who
understand the needs and requirements of local customers.

multi-media communication channels across mobile devices, desktop tools, and
room and immersive conferencing solutions of all types. The Polycom
RealPresence Platform brings together disparate communication systems into one
holistic and interoperable collaboration environment. Turkey is an important
market for Polycom, and we believe that Polycom collaboration solutions are
critical for the advancement of Turkish businesses and government
entities,” said Alain Wiedmer, the area sales vice president for emerging
markets in EMEA, Polycom.
