Airtel leads in GSMA cellular subscriber additions in January

Bharti Airtel is leading the GSMA cellular subscriber net additions in January 2015 as the telecom service provider added 2.84 million during the last month alone.

The number of all India GSM cellular subscriber base rose 1.31 percent or 8.87 million to 687.42 million in January 2015, said COAI.

The top GSM cellular operator in India is Bharti Airtel with 220.05 million subscribers.

Bihar telecom circle has added 1.45 million wireless subscribers in January.

In January, 2015, Vodafone India added 1.82 million, Idea Cellular 2.22 million, Aircel 0.9 million, Uninor 0.86 million, Videocon 0.17 million and MTNL 0.02 million.

The total number of mobile subscribers of Vodafone was 180.49 million, Idea Cellular 152.76 million, Aircel 79.62 million, Uninor 44.49 million, Videocon 6.63 million and MTNL 3.39 million.
