Huawei to supply converged cable access platform to Monaco Telecom

Telecom network vendor Huawei will supply distributed converged cable access platform (D-CCAP) solution to Monaco Telecom.

The strategy of Monaco Telecom is to achieve a converged ultra-broadband network which will provide 100 Mbit/s to 1 Gbit/s access rates for broadband users in Monaco.

Huawei

Monaco Telecom has built its network by utilizing cable TV pipelines in older buildings and fiber to the home (FTTH) cables in new properties to reduce investment and shorten the deployment cycle.

As part of the deal, Monaco Telecom will use Huawei D-CCAP solution to manage the two networks. The solution will converge both network cable types and will enable Monaco Telecom to achieve both fast network deployment and simple network management.
