Comcast buys WiFi networks firm Deep Blue

Comcast today announced the acquisition of Deep Blue Communications – a Latham, NY-based company in engineering, installing, and managing commercial WiFi networks.

The acquisition allows Comcast to combine the reliability of its advanced network solutions with managed WiFi that creates efficiency for businesses and differentiated experiences for customers.

“Customers will benefit from our expertise in advanced business and network solutions with Deep Blue Communications’ know-how in providing commercial, managed WiFi at scale,” said Bill Stemper, president, Comcast Business.

Deep Blue has made the INC 5000 list of the fastest growing companies for the last seven years, and emerged as a leading managed WiFi provider for retail and entertainment venues, as well as a certified provider for several leading hospitality brands, said Brian Epstein, CEO of Deep Blue Communications.
