Top Indian broadband operators and market share in Jan 2015

TRAI (Telecom Regulatory Authority of India) last week shared the list of broadband operators in the country and their market share in January 2015.

Bharti Airtel has broadband subscriber – both wireless and wireline — base of 20.29 million, BSNL has 19.07 million, Vodafone 17.86 million, Idea Cellular 14.12 million and Reliance Communications 7.47 million.

TRAI said the number of broadband subscribers increased 10.21 percent to 94.49 million in January 2015 from 85.74 million in December 2014.

Broadband operators in India and market share

The top five wired broadband service providers were BSNL with 9.98 million users, Bharti Airtel 1.42 million, MTNL 1.14 million, Atria Convergence Technologies 0.63 million and YOU Broadband 0.43 million broadband users.

Top five Indian wireless broadband service providers were Airtel with 18.87 million subscribers, Vodafone 17.86 million, Idea Cellular 14.12 million, BSNL 9.09 million and Reliance Communications Group 7.36 million.
