India telecom statistics for June 2018

Indian telecom regulator TRAI today announced the latest statistics about wireless operators, mobile broadband, fixed broadband, among others, for June 2018.
India mobile operators June 2018India’s wireless subscriber base increased 1.37 percent to 1,146.49 million in June 2018, TRAI said.

TRAI said the wireless subscription in urban areas increased 1.27 percent to 633.60 million in June 2018. India’s wireless subscriptions in rural areas increased 1.49 percent to 512.89 million.

Wireless tele-density in India increased to 88 in June from 86.89 in May. India’s urban wireless tele-density increased to 153.52 in June from 151.82 in May. India’s rural wireless tele-density rose from 56.81 to 57.63.

TRAI said the number of broadband subscribers increased 3.50 percent from 432.00 million in May to 447.12 million in June.
India Broadband operators in June 2018Reliance Jio with 215.26 million, Bharti Airtel with 95.31 million, Vodafone India with 62.86 million, Idea Cellular with 42.95 million and BSNL with 20.34 million are the top broadband operators in India.

India’s top five wired broadband service providers are BSNL with 9.15 million, Airtel with 2.21 million, Atria Convergence Technologies with 1.34 million, MTNL with 0.83 million and Hathway Cable & Datacom with 0.75 million subscribers.

India’s top five wireless broadband service providers are Reliance Jio with 215.26 million, Airtel with 93.11 million, Vodafone with 62.85 million, Idea Cellular with 42.94 million and BSNL with 11.19 million customers.
