Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has entered a partnership with Vodafone Business, the enterprise division of VodafoneThree, to accelerate AI, cloud, cybersecurity and network transformation among UK organisations.
The partnership combines Vodafone Business’ connectivity and digital infrastructure capabilities with TCS’ technology services and industry expertise. It will support enterprises across healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, retail, the public sector and critical national infrastructure. The commercial value of the new TCS-Vodafone Business agreement has not been disclosed.
The companies will focus on cloud migration, artificial intelligence, automation, cybersecurity, network modernisation, data analytics, Internet of Things applications, managed services and operational transformation.
VodafoneThree Targets 99 Percent 5G Standalone Coverage
The TCS partnership builds on VodafoneThree’s £11 billion investment programme to create a stronger UK network for consumers and businesses.
VodafoneThree aims to provide 5G Standalone coverage to 99 percent of the UK population by 2030, increasing to 99.96 percent by 2034. The infrastructure will support enterprise services covering 5G, full-fibre broadband, IoT, cloud connectivity, cybersecurity and digital business applications.
VodafoneThree reported 0.3 percent organic service revenue growth in FY26, while adjusted EBITDAaL increased 4.5 percent. It added 222,000 broadband customers during the year, supplemented by 56,000 fixed-wireless access customers.
Vodafone Business is also moving customers from legacy products to digital services and has introduced 5G+ Local Slicing for enterprise users. Its business operations faced pressure from planned managed-services contract exits and lower project activity, although sales order value increased year on year.
TCS can help Vodafone Business generate more value from its network investment by adding AI, cloud, cybersecurity, automation, analytics, application modernisation and managed services.
TCS generated US$30.017 billion in FY26 revenue. Annualised AI revenue exceeded US$2.3 billion during the fourth quarter, reflecting rising demand for AI-led enterprise transformation.
The IT services company secured US$40.7 billion in total contract value during FY26, including US$12 billion in the fourth quarter.
TCS ended the financial year with 584,519 employees. More than 270,000 employees had higher proficiency in artificial intelligence and machine learning, while the workforce completed 69 million learning hours during FY26.
These resources give TCS the scale to support Vodafone Business customers undertaking complex technology and operational transformation programmes.
TCS has operated in the UK for more than 50 years and says it has created 42,000 jobs in the country, directly and indirectly.
TCS’ Communications, Media and Information Services business serves customers in 45 countries from more than 105 delivery locations. Its technology platforms and services support more than 1 billion telecom subscribers worldwide.
TCS has an established relationship with Vodafone UK. Earlier projects consolidated enterprise and billing systems, introduced robotics and automation, improved online billing and removed approximately €6 million from Vodafone’s cost base.
Separately, TCS has a five-year partnership with Vodafone Idea in India to modernise the telecom operator’s business support systems through an AI-driven customer experience platform using HOBS and TwinX technologies.
