TRAI has released a report on drive tests conducted in six cities such as Kochi, Jaipur, Madurai, Mangalore, Triuchirappalli and Vishakhapatnam.
The drive test assessed Call Setup Success Rate; Drop Call Rate; Block Call Rate, Handover Success Rate; and Rx Quality in voice services. TRAI assessed Download and Upload Throughputs, Web Browsing Delay, Video Streaming Delay and Latency in data services.
All telecom operators have met the 2 percent of Drop Call Rate and CSSR in Kochi city. Airtel achieved maximum throughput for 3G and 4G technology beating Idea Cellular, Vodafone and Reliance Jio.
All the telecom service providers have met the 2 percent of Drop Call Rate in Jaipur city. All the mobile operators have met CSSR. Tata Teleservices’ 3G and Reliance Jio’s 4G achieved maximum throughput in Jaipur.
All the mobile operators have met 2 percent of Drop Call Rate except BSNL’s 3G network in Madurai city. All the TSPs have met CSSR. Airtel has achieved maximum throughput for 3G and 4G technology in Madurai.
All telecom operators have met the 2 percent of Drop Call Rate and CSSR in Mangalore city. Vodafone achieved maximum throughput for 3G and 4G technology beating rival operators in Mangalore.
All mobile operators have met the 2 percent of Drop Call Rate & CSSR in Triuchirappalli city. BSNL has achieved maximum throughput for 3G. Airtel achieved maximum throughput for 4G technology.
All the TSPs have met 2 percent of Drop Call Rate except Vodafone 2G in Vishakhapatnam city. All the TSPs have met CSSR except Airte1’s 3G network; Idea Cellular achieved the maximum throughput for 3G network. Reliance Jio achieved maximum throughput for 4G technology.
