Telia Company has disclosed that Markus Messerer, Senior Vice President and Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer, will be departing the company to explore opportunities elsewhere. Markus Messerer has been a vital member of the Group Executive Management team since December 2020.
Markus Messerer has been a valued member of the Group Executive Management team and played a key part in shaping Telia’s strategy direction over the past four years and returning the company to growth.
Petr Cermak will assume the role of Acting Chief Strategy & Commercial Officer in addition to his current position. Petr Cermak, who has been serving as Telia Denmark’s CEO since 2021, will temporarily take on this role following the closure of the transaction with Norlys in early April. During his tenure as CEO of Telia Denmark, Petr Cermak has spearheaded the turnaround of the business, demonstrating his capability to lead strategic initiatives effectively.
