Telenor reveals country specific Capex for Q2

Telenor said its Capex excluding licenses and spectrum has touched NOK 4.742 billion, representing a Capex to sales ratio of 17 percent during the second quarter of 2022.
Telenor Capex in Q2 2022Telenor said its Capex has touched NOK 1,549 million in Norway, NOK 394 million in Sweden, NOK 145 million in Denmark, NOK 355 million in Finland, NOK 918 million in Thailand dtac, NOK 372 million in Malaysia digi, NOK 593 million in Bangladesh Grameenphone, NOK 151 million in Pakistan.

Telenor’s revenues were NOK 28 billion which is an increase of NOK 0.9 billion compared to the same period last year. Service revenues increased by 1.5 percent on an organic basis.

Telenor’s Opex increased by NOK 0.3 billion. Organic Opex increased by NOK 0.2 billion, positively impacted by NOK 0.4 billion relating to items in Norway and Thailand.

Telenor said an impairment loss of NOK 2.5 billion was recognized related to Pakistan as a consequence of deteriorating macro-economic situation and adverse ruling of Supreme Court in the license renewal case.

Sigve Brekke, President and CEO of Telenor Group, said: “Based on the performance in the first half of the year, for 2022 we expect low single digit growth in organic service revenues, organic EBITDA around 2021 level, and a Capex to sales ratio of 16-17 percent.”
