Telenor completes deployment of blade site base-station

Telecom network operator Telenor India has completed the deployment of blade site base-station solution.

Telenor has installed more than 10000 new sites across Telenor India’s six circles with the solution from Huawei.

As of the first quarter of 2016, Huawei has installed the Blade Site solution in 90 commercial networks in 40 countries.

Telenor currently has 52.4 million subscribers. The new network supports latest mobile technology including 4G / LTE services to deliver high speed Internet.

Tanveer Mohammad, chief operating officer, Telenor (India) Communications, said: “By deploying Huawei Blade Site solution we have accelerated the speed of installation of a new network and increased coverage and improved network quality experience.”
