Telefonica reveals Capex for 2021

Telefonica today said expects stabilization trends in revenues and OIBDA, as well as normalisation in the level of Capex / Sales up to 15 percent in 2021.
Telefonica’s 5G network in SpainOIBDA – Capex increased 26.9 percent to €1,957 million in Q4 2020. OIBDA – Capex rose 20.5 percent to €7,637 million in 2020.

Telefonica made significant investment in Brazil and the United Kingdom, where operating cash grew organically by 8.5 percent and 2.7 percent, respectively, compared to previous year.

In September, Telefonica switched on 5G and had 80 percent of the Spanish population covered in just three months.

In 2020, Telefonica increased its access base by 0.3 percent to 345.43 million. The company’s high-speed network (fibre and cable) totalled 134.8 million premises passed, 9 percent more vs. 2019, of which 61.8 million premises corresponded to the Group’s own network, 11 percent more vs. a year earlier.
