Rogers names Deutsche Telekom executive Dirk Woessner as president

Canadian telecom service provider Rogers has appointed Deutsche Telekom executive Dirk Woessner as president of the Consumer Business Unit.

At Deutsche Telekom Germany, Woessner was responsible for sales and distribution with more than CDN $25 billion in sales serving more than 39.5 million mobile, 20.8 million fixed line and 12.3 million broadband customers.

Since joining DT in 2002, he has held a number of positions with Telekom Deutschland and T-Mobile in the UK and Germany.

At Rogers, Woessner will be responsible for delivering the company’s consumer business strategy, including product development, sales channel operations, pricing and customer base management.
