Orange inks deal with Cellcom to acquire Liberia subsidiary

Orange
Telecom network operator Orange announced its deal with Cellcom Telecommunications to acquire its Liberia subsidiary.

This acquisition is part of the international development strategy of Orange. As per its strategy, Orange aims to accelerate its growth by entering new emerging markets with high potential. This will enable Orange to strengthen its positions in Africa.

Liberia has over 4.3 million inhabitants, with a mobile penetration rate of 66 percent. Cellcom has a national mobile license and significant market share in the country.
