Ofcom appoints Steve Unger as acting chief executive

British telecom regulator Ofcom has appointed Steve Unger as the acting chief executive.

Steve is currently director of the Strategy, International, Technology and Economist Group at Ofcom.

He will assume as interim chief executive when current CEO Ed Richards steps down at the end of December.

Ofcom is in the process of appointing a permanent chief executive. New CEO will be announced in the New Year.
