Nxtra Data in pact with CenturyLink to provide IT services

Bharti Airtel subsidiary Nxtra Data has joined hands with CenturyLink to provide hosting and managed IT services to enterprises in India.

This exclusive partnership brings Nxtra Data’s India data centre management expertise together with CenturyLink’s cost-effective hosting, managed services and cloud capabilities. Nxtra Data aims to add business from large enterprises and government organizations in India.

Neil Pollock, chief executive officer of Nxtra Data, said: “Nxtra and CenturyLink India-based teams will collaborate to bring a new standard of capability and service to support Indian enterprises – at the right price. We will set a new benchmark in product performance, security and customer experience.”

Girish Varma, president, Global IT Services & New Market Development, CenturyLink, said: “We are offering access to the same highly secure managed IT solutions and consistent experience available across CenturyLink’s global footprint, taking advantage of Nxtra’s data centres throughout India and engaging our mature India operations.”

Nxtra Data, which was formed to run Bharti Airtel’s Data Center Managed Services business, now manages 10 Tier III data centres at Noida, Manesar, Mumbai, Chennai, Bangalore, Pune, Bubhaneshwar comprising approx. 200,000 sq. ft. of floor space.
