iPhone users can use the service for free until May 2015.

The Jspeak app enables non-Japanese speakers traveling in Japan to make face-to-face conversations by speaking into a smartphone to get a translation as screen text and voice readout.

The service translates 5 languages — Chinese, English, Indonesian, Korean, and Thai — into Japanese and vice versa.
