NetQin announces mobile security agreement with Telefonica

NetQin Mobile, a provider of consumer-centric mobile
security and productivity applications, announced that the company has signed a
framework agreement with Telefonica, (Telefonica), the fifth largest Telco
service provider worldwide, to provide mobile Internet services to the
subscribers of Telefonica.

Under the agreement, NetQin’s mobile internet services
will be integrated in Telefonica’s and its subsidiary’s App Store and in mobile
devices distributed by Telefonica and subsidiaries.

“We are very pleased to cooperate with Telefonica to
provide our mobile security service to millions of mobile users in Europe. This
partnership is also a strategic milestone for NetQin to officially enter the
European market,” said Dr. Henry Yu Lin, chairman and CEO of NetQin Mobile.

The Telefonica agreement validates the increasing
awareness of mobile malware threats by the wireless ecosystem. A recent research
report published by NetQin has shown an increasing trend of global mobile
malwares outbreak.

“NetQin’s services provide the best available
protection for smartphone users,” said Alex Zhou, VP of Business
Development of NetQin mobile.

NetQin Mobile Anti Virus for Android was recently awarded
the Checkmark Mobile Security Certification from the West Coast Labs, a global
leader in technical research, testing and the Checkmark Certification of
information security products and services.
