MTS enters home Wi-Fi segment in India

Indian telecom service provider MTS today launched Homespot Instant Wi-Fi solution – targeting the home Wi-Fi segment in India.

MTS in a statement said Homespot Instant Wi-Fi solution comes with an MBlaze Ultra dongle that can provide broadband access to 5 users simultaneously including smartphone customers.

The price for prepaid users opting for 5GB data plan will be Rs 499 per month. They will get free WhatsApp and Viber.

The price for prepaid users for the device with 10 GB bundled data usage will be Rs 1,299. Postpaid users need to pay Rs 999, said MTS.

MTS (Sistema Shyam TeleServices) will target people in the age group of 16-35 years with small families with higher focus on tier 2 and tier 3 cities.

The product is specially designed for families who consume internet on multiple devices including smartphones with different internet connections when at home.
