Idea strengthens 3G services in Maharashtra and Goa with unlimited data plans

Telecom Lead India: Idea Cellular has announced new 3G
data plans for its prepaid and postpaid mobile customers in Maharashtra and Goa
circles.

 

The new data plans allow Idea prepaid and postpaid 3G
customers to experience unlimited 3G services, with rentals starting from Rs
750 for post-paid customers and Rs 950 pre-paid customers.

 

The operator is offering unlimited internet usage on
monthly rent of Rs 750 to the postpaid users. Post 3GB, speed of up to 128 Kbps
will be given to the users. On monthly rent of Rs 950, 6 GB usage will be given
to the users.

 

For new net setter customers, the company is offering
unlimited usage on Rs 949 monthly rent. Post 6 GB, speed of up to 128 Kbps will
be given.

 

The operator said it has been driving the penetration of
3G data services in the region and with these innovative unlimited 3G data
plan for its customers it is becoming 1st GSM operator to have 3G
unlimited plans on Mobile Phone & Data Cards.

Goa have high data usage and requirements. To meet the growing demands of our
3G customers we have introduced these unlimited 3G data plans on the Mobiles
and NetSetters in the circle. We have always supported our customers’
requirements with the best voice and data benefits and these innovative offers
allow Idea customers to have high-speed wireless network access on
the go and unlimited surfing without bothering about the bill,” said Rajendra
Chourasia, chief operating officer, Maharashtra & Goa, Idea Cellular.

 

Recently,
Subex, a provider of business support systems (BSS) for mobile operators, won a
million dollar deal to offer ROC Fraud Management solution through managed
services for Idea Cellular for postpaid and roaming.

 

Recently, Idea selected Ericsson to manage their telecom
network in five circles in Indian telecom market.
