Airtel re-launches MyAirtel App with new features

myairtel-appTelecom network operator Bharti Airtel has launched an upgraded version of MyAirtel App offering a number of mobile applications.

MyAirtel App is becoming the hub for popular apps offering best music, movies games, LIVE TV, e-books, chats and more under one umbrella.

Airtel is offering free 2GB cloud backup with the new Airtel Cloud app and free calling with Airtel Dialer.

The relaunched MyAirtel App will now have a Airtel Apps section that will have a collection of top apps under a single interface.

Airtel is offering Ditto TV with 100+ LIVE TV channels and popular TV shows without any subscription charges. The telecom company is also offering Hike Messenger app, Wynk Music and Wynk Movies, Juggernaut within Airtel Apps.

Airtel Cloud provides 2GB of free cloud storage and back up. The company says there are no data upload charges for the scheduled overnight backups for prepaid customers currently and this benefit will be made available to postpaid customer soon.

On the other hand, Airtel Dialer offers 50 minutes of free Airtel-to-Airtel calling benefits, in addition to its call management feature. Bharti Airtel said normal plan / pack data charges will apply on all the mobile applications on MyAirtel App.

Customers who already have MyAirtel App on their smartphone can update to receive the new features, while new users can download the new MyAirtel App from Google Playstore (for Android) and App Store (for iOS).

The relaunch of the app is part of the company’s Digital Airtel initiative. Airtel users can access more information at MyAirtel App.

Harmeen Mehta, global CIO and Director – Engineering, Bharti Airtel, said the mobile apps available at the new avatar of the MyAirtel App have been curated to ensure customers are offered the best of the web. Airtel will be adding more apps and partnerships in the near future.
