Indian telecom network operator Bharti Airtel has made additional investment in its networks in Kumbakonam and its adjacent towns ahead of Mahamaham festival in Tamil Nadu.
Airtel, India’s number one 4G operator based on its network coverage, aims to offer better customer experience to about 50 lakh people who attend Mahamaham festival that happens every 12 years.
Bharti Airtel has added temporary telecom sites with higher capacity near Mahamaham Tank and Portramarai Tank, COW sites at all temporary bus stands and new sites around the temple in Kumbakonam.
The company has also expanded capacity of sites in Kumbakonam and adjacent towns of Tanjore, Trichy, Tiruvarur and Mayiladuthurai to accommodate additional traffic.
Earlier, Bharti Airtel had provided enhanced coverage during Book Fair and Global Investors Meet in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
