Airtel, BSNL, Vodafone, Jio add mobile subscribers in Oct

Indian telecom operators — such as BSNL, Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea and Reliance Jio – have increased their mobile subscriber base in October 2019.
Smartphone customers on 4G networkBharti Airtel’s mobile subscriber base increased to 325.649 million in October from 325.567 million in September 2019.

Vodafone Idea’s mobile subscriber base increased to 372.676 million in October from 372.486 million in September 2019.

The 4G subscriber base of Reliance Jio increased to 364.325 million in October from 355.223 million in September 2019.

BSNL’s mobile subscriber base increased to 117.259 million in October from 116.972 million in September 2019.

India’s mobile phone subscribers on 2G, 3G and 4G platforms increased from 1,173.75 million in September to 1,183.40 million in October.

Mobile subscription in urban areas increased 0.57 percent from 659.18 million in September to 662.92 million in October.

Mobile subscription in rural areas also increased 1.15 percent from 514.56 million in September to 520.48 million in October.

Vodafone Idea, Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio raised voice call and data charges in December.

Vodafone Idea’s mobile consumer base declined by around 3.63 crore to 33.63 crore in November, PTI reported.

Vodafone Idea HLR (home location register) subscribers in October were 37,26,76,689. It has come down to 33,63,57,324 in November  as per the company report submitted to TRAI.
