Bharti Airtel said more than 1,600 students from 8 technology institutes in India participated in techQ, a telecom and technology quiz contest.

The telecom network operator conducted the finals at the Airtel Campus in Gurgaon. Avinash Mudaliar, a leading quiz master in India, moderated the two hour long contest.
RV College of Engineering, Bangalore, received cash prizes of Rs 1 lakh, while NSIT, Delhi won the runners up prize of Rs 50,000. Other finalists included IIT Roorkee, NIT Bhopal, NIT Allahabad, DTU, NSIT Delhi and College of Engineering Guindy.
techQ had six rounds including Postpaid, Postpaid, Evolution rounds. Teams could choose between 2G (text based), 3G (image based) and 4G (video based questions).
