Aircel offers primary health care helpline in Odisha

Telecom network operator Aircel has launched primary health care helpline called Gramin Healthcare Line for its mobile customers in Odisha.

Aircel customers can dial a short code 55557 chargeable at Rs 6 per minute to activate the service to get information on the best treatments and doctors. Gramin Healthcare Centre Lines provides immediate online medical advice and treatment options to the callers.

Rajiv Gupta, Circle Business Head – Odisha, Aircel, said: “Gramin Healthcare Line will take care of the primary health needs of the people. This will also give easy access to people to effective healthcare, guidance, convenience and is affordable for the masses.”

Aircel’s Gramin Healthcare Line is available for customers across Odisha. The physical consultations are available in 6 districts of Odisha as of now – Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendra Pada, Nayagarh and Khurda.

Gramin Healthcare is introducing telemedicine supported by Aircel network that would empower the common man with one stop access to health care services.

India spends 4.2 percent of its national GDP towards healthcare goods and services compared to 18 percent in US. 70 percent of the population still lives in rural areas and has no or limited access to hospitals and clinics.
