ZTE powers CSL Mobile VoLTE services in Hong Kong

Telecom network vendor ZTE today said it supported CSL Mobile to launch VoLTE (voice over LTE) services in Hong Kong.

CSL Mobile users are able to access VoLTE services with any compatible devices to benefit from voice and video calls. Almost 100,000 users are using the VoLTE service since it was launched by CSL in late August.

ZTE drives CSL Mobile for VoLTE

ZTE has supplied its VoLTE solution, offering data packet switching in real time to achieve reduction in call connection times. Based on test results, the connection time for a call between two VoLTE users is about one second, while a call from a VoLTE user to a non-4G user can be connected in four seconds, compared to seven seconds for 3G calls.

Video call resolution can now reach 640x480pixels and voice and video calls can be switched with one key.

ZTE is supplying its IMS solutions to 160 commercial and trial networks, including China, Germany, Austria, Italy, Poland, Turkey, Slovenia, Namibia, Peru, and the United States.
